Product Name: Product Type: Low Carb Coconut Chips Price: $17.43 (4 Pack) Summary: Do these crunchy low carb snacks live up to the hype? Read this Dang Toasted Coconut Chip review to find out before you buy. Dang Coconut Chips - A Little TOO Tasty?Just made it back from the mailbox and I had some products that I purchased on Amazon that I'll be linking below that I was going to do a little review on. And one of these products was Dang Coconut Chips. For those of you who are not familiar with Dang products, I came across some of their rice cakes or rice products a few years ago. They're absolutely delicious. When I eat them, I can't stop eating them. They've been banned from the house. There's something that covers the rice cake that just makes it absolutely delicious. And so when I saw on Amazon that they sold keto friendly chips I was very excited. This product is keto friendly, but if you eat too much of these chips, they'll throw you out of keto because there's a high sugar content in it. Just be you're responsible with these chips and eat them in moderation. These Chips Will Challenge Your Self ControlI saw that Dang had two different flavors available on Amazon. The original flavor and who doesn't love caramel sea salt flavor. I thought, awesome, let's buy those and review those. I just went to the mailbox to pick up the package. Tear the top off one of the box and there's three servings of coconut chips per bag. I found out very quickly that they're delicious. They're absolutely amazing tasting. And these are now banned from my house. So what I do is if something's so good that I can't say no, I tend to ban it. So things that had been banned from the house includes anything that's a peanut butter cup treat, I can't have that. Granola is also typically banned from the house. We'll buy it, but then I'll give it to the kids or to mom and they will hide it for me. And absolutely without a doubt, macadamia nuts or any nut that's a nut. I mean like cashews, macadamia nuts, peanuts. I have no nut control, right? I'll eat the whole entire container. If you look at the package, see these little curly, little chip things. They're crunchy in texture. They shouldn't be called Dang, they should be crack, crack coconut chips because I couldn't say no to them. But they're super delicious. And just to give you a rough idea, I ate about 860, 840, 860 calories in about two blocks. So these have been banned from the house. If I do see them, they'll start to be available at any gas stations that would be a blessing. I will purchase them and I will share them with friends. And to just give me the ability to eat them. But I am absolutely not going to allow these in the house again. They are too good. Man, I can't say enough good things about how yummy they were. I'm not really worried about my state of ketosis, about me being in a state of low carb and the big world of things I didn't throw myself out, I'll be back in later tonight. But I mean 800 calorie boost on a day isn't necessarily good for anybody. So I'm going to have to make some dietary changes for the rest of the day. My Final Thoughts On Dang Coconut ChipsIf you love just a faint hint, hint a coconut along with some sweetness in the form of a chip and you don't want to make your own or bake your own coconut chips, Dang Coconut Chips are where it's atâ. Our Verdict - Dang Toasted Coconut Chips 4/5 The Good Stuff:

Product Name: Product Type: Keto Beef Jerky / Meat Snack Price: $18.99 Summary: Is Stryve Biltong a good keto friendly snack? Just how good is this beef jerky? Find out below. What Is Biltong Air-Dried Beef?Biltong is a South African beef jerky thing, very highly recommended on several podcasts I listen to, so I've got a sampler pack. We've got teriyaki, spicy Perry, Perry, zesty garlic and some smoked. I think I'm going to try this. Very low in carbs. Fits into the NSNG snack category, like I like so much. Testing Stryve Biltong Taste and TextureNow, I don't know this brand, I just found them, they were recommended on Amazon. Let's try the teriyaki. It does have a very lighter, thinner taste. Let's see if we can get that to focus there a little bit. Very thin, very bite size. I bet you this would be good dipped in some a sour cream maybe. It's growing on me. I really like it. Spicy Peri Peri Flavor Taste TestSo this is, I'm a little worried about this one. This spicy Perry Perry. I'm a big wimp when it comes to spices. Has some peppers on the front there. A little bit of heat on the back end, couldn't eat too much of that. The last one, I'm excited for this one. My wife will probably be not excited about the aftermath of the spicy garlic. There's the, I'd say, one, two punch there. The spicy Perry Perry and then the garlic afterwards. This product is very high in protein, no gluten, no nitrates, no artificial colorings, no preservatives, no MSG. So a very healthy little snack that is... Actually it looks like it's pretty low in fat, which is surprising. Stryve Biltong FlavorsIt has plenty of sodium in there, some cholesterol, but it's also very low carb and plenty of protein, but it says two servings per container. That would be a full meal if you eat a half bag of this. I want to say it was like $15 or $20 for the four-pack sampler here, but I would give Biltong a try. It is something unique if you like beef jerky. I can't stop eating it. Final Stryve Air-Dried Beef Snack ThoughtsThis product is very delicious. It does make me want to try some of the higher quality stuff. I'm going to have to check in with some people, see what they recommend as far as super high quality, but Stryve.com is a great option. I am really liking this. I don't have anything to compare it to in the Biltong world, so I'm going to say this is the highest quality Biltong your money can buy on Amazon. That Peri Peri heat is coming back a little bit. It is a little warm today, but I might start sweating off that one. 4.5/5 The Good Stuff:

Product Name: Product Type: Pork Rinds / Keto-friendly Chip Alternative Price: $39.99 (12 Pack) Summary: This is my review of Utz Pork Rinds after I looked for the best keto friendly snack food similar to potato chips. Make sure you read my in-depth review before you purchase it. Having Trouble Keeing Your Sweet Tooth At Bay?Are you struggling to keep your sweet tooth at bay after starting the keto diet? I know I sure was. I was constantly reminding myself of all the deliciously mouth-watering sweets I could no longer have. It was torture. However, this all changed when I discovered Kiss My Keto snack bars. So many low-carb bars claiming to fit into the keto diet are only satisfying during that instant when the chocolate first touches your taste buds and you are momentarily back in bliss. In the long run, however, most leave a weird taste after you eat them that is foul enough to hope you forget the entire experience. I thought the days of enjoying myself were over, even if the benefits I saw with the keto diet far outweighed my desire to indulge here and there. I hated this, all I wanted was a chocolate bar that would not throw me out of ketosis and was delicious too. Thankfully, a friend introduced me to Kiss My Keto snack bars before I went down the road of trying to convince myself that I did not even like chocolate or that the strange taste after eating other bars was actually enjoyable. Although, we all know that would not have worked. What Makes Kiss My Keto Snack Bars So Great?Packed with nutrients, you can add Kiss My Keto snack bars to your keto diet plan without feeling guilty. All the ingredients meet the keto diet macro requirements, so it is the perfect excuse to indulge in an oh-so-sweet treat. These snack bars have 13-grams of fat, 7-grams of fiber, 10% MCT oil, 9-grams of protein, and 0-grams of sugar. This means that they only have about 2-grams of net carbs. You can even comprehend every word that is on the ingredient list. Which is unlike many keto-approved snack bars. If you do have to google something, then you will be relieved to know that you will not find a lengthy list of chemical compounds that may or may not also have a lengthy list of side-effects. Keto Friendly Bars With High Quality IngredientsKiss My Keto snack bars are specially formulated so that they will not raise your insulin after a serving because they are made with 45% pure cacao, also known as genuine dark chocolate, and they are naturally sweetened with the lightest touch of Stevia and Erythritol. This makes them better for those who are using a keto diet for diabetes. Do not let the idea of Stevia intrude your thoughts. It is common knowledge that a lot of people find Stevia overwhelmingly sweet with a bitter aftertaste. However, that is not true with Kiss My Keto snack bars. They use just the slightest amount. So slight, that not one of the hundreds of five-star reviews docked points or even mentioned that they thought Stevia was the downfall. Using Stevia instead of the maltitol that most other bars use means that Kiss My Keto also thought about your gastrointestinal system. So long are the days of being punished after eating a maltitol-filled bar and having to endure approximately 12-hours of stomach bloat and gas just for trying to enjoy a protein-packed chocolate bar. Now, if you are thinking that you do not know what erythritol is, then keep reading. If you have had any sort of commercially produced baked-good, then you have had erythritol. It is one of the most common sweeteners amongst bakers, and completely safe to consume. Kiss My Keto somehow managed to do all this without sacrificing taste or texture. Let me tell you, these bars do not taste at all artificial as many keto-approved bars do. Plus, your sweet tooth will be thoroughly satisfied. Pros of Kiss My Keto snack bars:

Product Name: Product Type: Low Carb Cookies Price: $22.98 Summary: Do Fat Snax Double Chocolate Chip cookies really live up to the hype? We wanted to find out for ourselves. See the verdict below. Living The Keto JourneyI got to run in today, hit five miles and I'm feeling really good. I started this keto journey five, six years ago. I went from 230 pounds down to 175 pounds and so I've lost a ton of weight doing keto, on the ketogenic diet, been hitting it really hard. But I'll tell you that as I got down to about 10 to 12% body fat, I couldn't budge it. I couldn't move any further. I couldn't get any more lean. I was really struggling. So I had to really tighten it down. I had to tighten it down and put in a little bit more work on the cardio, on the lifting, on all the things. And so I was doing that. I've been hitting that really hard. And because of that, since May, since locking it down, I've gotten down to 8% body fat. I'm down to 165 pounds. I'm the leanest I've ever been and I'm super excited about it. Now today's also super exciting because some of the things that's helped me got there. Because I have a sweet tooth, I love sweets, I love desserts and keto sometimes can be tough because I want to eat the sugary snacks, I want eat the cookies and the brownies and all the things, but I've had some help. I've had some help with some cool stuff to get me there. Trying Fat Snax Cookies For The First TimeAnyway, I'm going to try them out. I wanted to see, well, if they're any good. They probably are amazing, but I'm going to check them out. I'm going to give them a thorough and honest review and we'll do that right now. Let's enjoy some keto desserts. What You Get In A BoxAll right, so in a full box you get 12 two packs, so 24 cookies per box. They're good size cookies. They're not a bad size. You can see above they're not a bad size cookie. What I like about Fat Snax is there's two net carbs per cookie, depending on which flavor. They're usually 80 to 100 calories per cookie, so the calorie count is okay. You're going to be able to lean up. If you don't eat the whole box, you'll be okay on that. It's going to not mess with your ketosis because you're only getting two carbs per serving. And they're really satisfying cookies because they're full of fat. I think they got eight or nine grams of fat per cookie. So you're getting lots of fat. So you're going to stay filled by eating a fat heavy macro items. So these cookies are right there. They hit that spot. But I want to taste it out. I'm not going to mess around too much. I just want to get after it because I'm hungry because I hit that five miles hard. Fat Snax Double Chocolate Taste & ImpressionsOkay. The double chocolate chip is fire, it is absolute fire. It has the same consistency as the other Fat Snax cookies, which Fat Snax, their cookies are really moist. I've had a lot of other desserts and they're usually a bit on the drier side. For whatever reason, I don't know. I think it's because they put more fat in their product, but for whatever reason they figured out how to do a soft bake type cookie. So it's really soft, it's very moist. And this chocolate chip, this double chocolate chip, has to be my favorite flavor. Of all their flavors, I really like their regular chocolate chip cookie. It's my favorite chocolate chip. But the double chocolate to me is a complete win. It's my favorite flavor because I love chocolate. It's moist. The macros are right, the price is right. You can do all the things. Final ThoughtsSo if you're looking for a solid keto snack or keto dessert, I don't think you're going wrong here. This is ideal. It's perfect. And for me, if I have a pack where I have 200 calories and get a couple cookies at it, it's the perfect dessert calorie-wise and car- wise. So runs done, snacks done feeling pretty good. I'll tell you right now that the ketogenic diet, if you're looking for body composition change, if you're looking to get healthy, if you're looking to lean out, keto does it for you. Try Fat Snax Cookies for yourself!Convenient 2 cookies per bag for an easy dessert or on the go high-fat snack! Product Name: High Key Mini Cookies - Chocolate Chip Product Type: Keto-Friendly Cookies Price: $13.97 Summary: We looked for the best keto cookies money could buy. Are High Key cookies the answer? Make sure you read my in-depth review before you purchase them. Sticking To A Keto Diet Can Be Hard..Keto dieting is about reducing the amount of carbohydrates you consume in your daily diet. Some people erroneously assume that it is all about stuffing yourself with nothing but fat. While fat is not off limits, like it is in most diets, sugar, grains, flour, rice and starches definitely are. Though you may find it hard to stick to the diet sometimes, the benefits of keto are well worth it. So, how are we expected to survive in a world of breadsticks, shrimp fried rice, and cookies?Luckily, there is now a keto version of nearly every food there is. However, here is one keto substitution of the original chocolate chip cookie that you are going to really dig. High Key Cookies Taste & FlavorThe chocolate used for the HighKey cookies is a combination of unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, erythritol, sunflower lecithin, and stevia extract. So there is no sweet milk chocolate here. Still, you can definitely taste the chocolate, You will not be denied that, for sure. Cookie Nutrition informationAt first sight, the packaging tells you exactly what you are getting. The picture of the mini cookies is right there along with the productâs nutritional value: 2g net carbohydrates (11g total carbs), 3g protein, and 13g fat. Keto Cookie TextureUpon touching the cookie, you will feel that it is a solid cookie. It is âdoughy,â just like a mini Chips Ahoy. When you bite it, you can hear a crunch. Just donât expect a crunch as generous as what you get from a mini Oreo or a mini Nutter Butter. This is a more subtle, âsandyâ type of texture. Overall High Key Mini Cookies ExperienceWhat you smell: Final ThoughtsAs you can see, these cookies are worth trying. They are a wonderful substitute for regular mini cookies, especially when we are watching our carbohydrate and calorie intake. Our Verdict - High Key Mini Cookies 4.5/5 The Good Stuff:

Make sure you read my in-depth review before you purchase it. Oven-Baked ParmCrisps; The Keto Dieter's Answer to a No Carb SnackThree years ago, I had never heard about the Keto or Paleo diets. Iâd heard about Atkins, yes, but wasnât interested in their products. I came across the Keto diet online. This was the diet I chose. It has worked, but I had to give up food I loved. Multiple Tasty Cheese Crisp FlavorsDid you know that the Oven-Baked ParmCrisps come in a variety of flavors? I didnât know, until recently. Iâd only seen Original for sale. Besides, thatâs the only flavor I knew how to make. I, also, have no creativity when it comes to baking. No Carbs To Worry AboutWith little or no carbs to be found, you can indulge in your favorite flavor with no guilt. You may not enjoy the Pizza flavor like I do, you can be sure that youâll find a flavor that suits your taste buds. They truly are the best alternative cracker. Simple Ingredients & Keto FriendlyThey are made from 100% aged Wisconsin Cheese. They are always oven-baked to perfection in small batches. Since thereâs no carbs, you donât have to feel guilty if you devour an entire bag, as I have done. Theyâre packed with 9g protein. My Final Thoughts On ParmCrispsIf you love the homemade version, but time is of essence, youâll certainly enjoy grabbing a bag of the Oven-Baked ParmCrisps. Youâll love not only the simplicity of convenience, but also the quality taste in each pouch or tub. Youâll be pleased. Our Verdict - ParmCrisps Cheese Crisps 4.5/5 The Good Stuff:

Product Name: Utz Pork Rinds Product Type: Pork Rinds / Keto-friendly Chip Alternative Price: $14.97 Summary: This is my review of Utz Pork Rinds after I looked for the best keto friendly snack food similar to potato chips. Make sure you read my in-depth review before you purchase it. UTZ Pork Rinds Could Be A Low-Carb Alternative To Many SnacksThere have been a variety of new diets to take advantage of over the past few years, with many of us seeing a significant number of health benefits with some of them. One of the more notable of these has been the Keto diet, which could offer advantages to a large number of people. Tasty Keto Option For Snacking? However, this doesnât have to be the case, as there are a few foods that could be highly-recommended for anybody on the Keto diet. One of the most notable of these is UTZ Pork Rinds. While you might think that these are just a snack, they can offer quite a large number of advantages for many people, even when on the Keto diet. Pros: Flexible For Breading & Other RecipesThis versatility can be seen in quite a large number of ways. If youâre making breaded chicken from scratch, for example, youâll be able to use UTZ Pork Rinds as a low-carb alternative to what you would typically use. They could also be used as a substitute for croutons, among other things. A Good Keto Snack Option But Not PerfectWhile there are quite a large number of benefits to UTZ Pork Rinds, there are several drawbacks to them. One of the most prominent of these is that they can have quite an unpleasant smell, which is especially true if theyâve been left out in the open for a short period. Crunchy, Low-Carb, and High-Protein Pork RindsWhile there can be a variety of drawbacks to the UTZ Pork Rinds, these can be relatively minor, especially when compared to their benefits. While they might suffer from a lack of flavor on their own, this shouldnât be the case when theyâre added to a variety of dishes. My Final Thoughts On Utz Pork RindsGiven the significant amount of protein that comes with each serving, there could be several other health benefits to switching to them, although this depends on your overall diet. Though they can be slightly more expensive than some other options, thereâs a significant amount of value that comes with this. Our Verdict - Utz Pork Rinds 4.5/5 The Good Stuff:

The post Utz Pork Rinds Review appeared first on Keto Methods. via Keto Methods https://ketomethods.net/utz-pork-rinds-review/ Keto Flu: What Is It?You've probably heard about a lot of people talk about their success stories on the keto diet - but before diving into another one of those diets, you want to make sure that you know everything there is to know how this works. The Keto Flu: DefinedDoes it exist? Yes - and it does occur to those people who immediately jump into the keto diet. Don't worry though, there are different ways on how you can completely avoid keto flu. Restricting Carbohydrate Intake Is HardThis may be true as carbs are considered to be your body's, first love. These carbohydrates provide your body with a hint of sweetness, comfort, and energy that we need for our daily lives. Let's put it this way - carbohydrates may promise you love, but what you're feeling may not be love at all. It may be lust, and it just puts your health at risk and increases the risk of obesity, heart diseases, and diabetes. So what do you need to do before things get worse? Get rid of it - you have to let go of what you thought was your first, true love; you have to break up with it. Alternatives like Carbquik can help, see our review! Adapting To The Keto LifestyleThe truth is, carbohydrate-restriction is tough - nobody said it would be easy. But just like in a breakup, you resort to your friends and family, and probably even find a new date. In this case, your friends and family are fats and proteins, and a new date would be ketones. You'll sooner realize that your life is way better than what you were used to before. Symptoms Of The Keto FluKeto flu is common, especially if you're a beginner. As mentioned earlier, your body goes through different changes and it's trying to adapt to these changes especially with your food intake. Some of the common symptoms of keto flu may include but are not limited to:
You may experience these symptoms immediately - as fast as on the first or second day of your new diet. Depending on the person, these symptoms may go away on varying lengths. 3 Easy Ways To Avoid The Keto Flu!Before you even jump into a keto diet, bear in mind that there are some things that you can do to help prevent the keto flu. These are 3 simple things that you can do to avoid it: 1. Take It SlowMaking harsh changes in your body will make it react differently. With that in mind, make sure that you transition these changes slowly. Instead of completely getting rid of carbohydrates, limit your intake. Start with a low-carb diet instead of a no-carb diet. Get your body used to the limited carb intake before you completely get it out from your system. 2. Drinks Lots Of WaterOne of the possible reasons for the keto flu is dehydration. During this phase, you lose a lot of nutrients and minerals from your body. Whenever starting a keto diet, make sure that you drink lots of water. Increase your electrolyte intake, potassium, salts, and even add magnesium to your diet. Doing this helps prevent nausea and muscle cramps. Giving up "junk", aka carbohydrates may not be easy, but it can be battled by upping your liquid intake. 3. Increase Your ServingsCan you think of another diet that promises you weight loss, yet requires you to eat more? Yes, it's the keto diet. Because of the limited and restricted carbohydrates intake, your calories go down, and when this happens, you'll experience the keto flu symptoms. So instead of compensating for the carbohydrates as your source of energy, turn to eat more healthy fats and increase your caloric intake. Read this to learn more. What Foods Should I Avoid When I'm On A Keto Diet? While you can eat most of the meat and fats that are out there, there are certain foods that you need to avoid when on this specific diet. First on the list, are packaged foods. These types of foods contain a never-ending list of chemical ingredients - and most of these ingredients make it hard for your body to be on its ketosis stage. This means that if you continue eating packaged foods, it can just lengthen your keto flu symptoms, or sometimes even make it words. Other foods that you need to avoid are:
Takeaway: Keto flu can be easily triggered by macronutrient deficiencies. You can battle keto flu by making sure that you include a nutritious and nutrient-dense keto diet. How To Treat Or Cure Your Keto FluIf you've already started the keto diet and find yourself suffering these symptoms, here are some of the things that can be done in helping to ease the discomfort: Upping Your Electrolyte IntakeMake sure that you're drinking lots of fluids and increasing salt and electrolyte intake. You may add Himalayan pink salt and iodized table salt to your food. Iodized salt is rich in nutrients and is important for a healthy metabolism. You'll be surprised that they're not commonly seen in most diets. Potassium and sodium are also important aspects. You can get this from your favorite bacon, or drink some bone broth - eating up and drinking more is the easiest and fastest way to deal with the keto flu. You may also opt to drink magnesium supplements. Of course, drinking more water is crucial too. Like we've discussed earlier, dehydration makes the keto flu symptoms worse. For added magnesium and to relieve symptoms of nausea and crams, you may also add mineral salts to your water. Eat Clean CarbsTemporarily, you may add some carbs in your diet, but make sure they're the clean and healthy ones, just to help get rid of the keto flu symptoms. Examples are nuts, low-sugar berries, and non-starchy vegetables. Eat Good Fats bars are a tasty snack that's very low in carbs and allowed on a keto diet. If you're feeling like you need a bit more, while you're on this period you can temporarily go over your carb limit, but bear in mind that you're only allowed to do this to ease the symptoms. Do Some ExercisesIf you think that your body is capable of doing some light exercises, do it. Some people have noticed that doing mild exercises can actually relieve them from the flu and makes their metabolism more flexible. Keto Flu TakeawaysIf getting rid of carbs is difficult, just imagine what kind of effect it does on your body. Just like other vices, such as smoking, you have to go through the withdrawal process, no matter how hard, to make sure that we go to a cleaner and healthier way of eating. It's a low-carb, high-fat diet. In order to experience its full benefits, you must reduce your carbs and increase your fat intake, as this will cause your body to enter a metabolic state known as ketosis. How does a Keto diet affect blood sugar? In order to fully understand how a Keto diet can affect blood sugar, we must first become familiar with how a healthy body processes blood sugar. We should also understand how this process changes for people who have diabetes. Here's how the process works: Blood Glucose in a Healthy BodyIf the body is functioning properly, when blood glucose levels increase, it will secrete insulin. The body will then remove blood sugar from the bloodstream. It can either store it away for later or use it immediately as energy. Blood Glucose in DiabeticsWhile the process is rather seamless in a healthy body, it's a little more complicated when you're a diabetic. When it comes to converting food into energy, diabetics have a difficult time balancing blood sugar. Either the body doesn't make insulin, which is type 1 diabetes, or the body is completely resistant to it because there's too much circulating through the system, which is type 2 diabetes. Blood Glucose and the Keto DietIf you want to ensure that you're managing your blood sugar properly, the best way to do it is to consume a low-carb diet--one that will help you to avoid sudden spikes. And this is one of the things that the keto diet is known for. Research shows that a keto diet can increase insulin sensitivity in those with type 2 diabetes and decrease your blood glucose levels. Is Keto effective for weight loss?As you can see, the keto diet can be ideal for those struggling with diabetes. However, there are other benefits to this particular eating plan. It can lead to weight loss and an improvement in your overall health. Weight LossIt's worth mentioning that the keto diet isn't just an average low-carbohydrate diet. Sure, it may share similar principles as the Atkins or Paleo diets, but it's hardly the same. The reason the keto diet has gained such a large following in the weight loss community is that it puts the body in a state of ketosis. When the body is in a state of ketosis its tricked into thinking that it's fasting. And after three or four days of "fasting" insulin secretion reduces and the body starts to use fat as energy. Appetite ControlWeight loss is made easier on the keto diet because it helps with appetite control. When the body starts to constantly burn fat, it's given unlimited access to weeks or even months worth of stored energy. Improvements In Overall HealthResearch shows that the keto diet can help to improve a variety of health issues. For instance, you'll notice changes in your heart health. When you eat healthy fat it can help to reduce cholesterol. Exercising on a keto dietWhile the keto diet can be extremely beneficial to your health, many wonder how it will affect the way they exercise. You may also be interested in which exercises are best for this particular diet. Undereating is a common problem in the keto community because your appetite is suppressed and you're not hungry. But it's important to keep in mind that if you don't get enough calories, you're going to feel bad during the workouts and won't be able to achieve the goals you've set. Specifically, it's important that you consume enough fat. This will help you to compensate for all of the carbs that your body is missing. How difficult is a Keto diet? The keto diet can be a challenge for beginners. After all, this high-fat, low-carb eating plan can be a huge departure from the way that you're used to eating--especially if you eat the standard American diet. However, it's level of difficulty really depends on how prepared you are. 1. Knowing What Foods to AvoidThe keto diet suggests that you start with 20 to 30 grams of carbs per day. So if you want to succeed, you must be familiar with what foods have the most protein, carbs, and fat. 2. Knowing that Fat Isn't the EnemyOne of the biggest challenges that alot keto dieters have to overcome is their fear of fat. We've been conditioned to consider fat as the enemy. So it may take some getting used to. 3. Be Prepared to CookHere's the thing: the keto diet isn't conducive to processed foods. So this means that you should be prepared to sharpen your cooking skills. You'll be spending a significant amount of time researching recipes that are keto friendly. 4. Dealing With CravingsOne of the number one concerns for most people is carb cravings. Cravings can be difficult at the beginning of the diet. But the good news is they don't last forever and there are methods to getting rid of them. You should always be on the lookout for hidden carbs. So you don't really have to guess what you can and can't get away with. Cons of the Keto DietHowever, the biggest benefit can also be one of its biggest downfalls. Sure, the diet is relatively simply, but this simplicity limits your choices in terms of what you can eat.
